Bird Mandala – For Sale

This mandala took spent about two days to finish, including drying time as there are many layers. Water colors and a variety of wooden stamps in various color inks completed the background. The fine pens used for making the mandala and it’s designs were made using Micron Pens. I would consider this is piece of Zentangle Inspired Art considering its use of repetitive patterns. It is on 12 by 17 inch paper. It is unframed and available for sale for $149.99

“Who Are You Looking At?”

Several years ago, in 2013, I treated myself and bought an awesome, high-quality camera, a Sony Cybershot.  I still use it to this day and highly recommend it.  The very first time I used it, I went to John Easterlin Park in Fort Lauderdale near my Grandmother’s house.  That park is lovely and has many childhood memories for me.  My Mother used to go there as a child also.  The park is known for its population of stunning peacock’s but, sadly, I didn’t spot any when I went there to take some pictures.  This one white duck in particular caught my interest and I think it was reciprocated! The featured image is one of him looking at me while I photographed him.  He sure is one beautiful animal and I will be posting some more pictures of him. Next time you’re in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, check out John Easterlin Park which is a little hidden gem in South Florida.  They have a small campground area also.  Here’s a link to the park’s website: Easterlin Park
