Put RED MANDALA in the subject line please. This is a one of a kind work or art. No copies or prints or photographs have been made of this art.
Mixed media on 20 x 20 canvas.
I used Gelatos and pens by Faber Castell for doing the background and coloring in some of the stencils. I love their products. Liquitex Acrylic paint and mediums, Micron Pens, Prismacolor colored pencils, Gellyroll pens, Faber Castell Gelatos and pens, Windsor &Newton and Jane Davenport Watercolors are must-haves in my art supplies. I also like Jim Holtz and Dylusions products.
Liquitex is my favorite brand when it comes to acrylic painting. I especially love their heavy body line of paint and their modeling paste and heavy gel. I painted an underlayer of pink and let it dry over night. Then I spread modeling paste across the entire 20 x 20 canvas and “carved” in it using a fork. After it fully dried a couple of days later, then I painted on top of the modeling paste. I had so much fun creating this piece! #painting #liquitex #heavy gloss gel #pallate knives #acrylicpainting #abstracts#abstract art #layers #textureart #canvas #artwork #artdirection#artlovers #fineart I have a few more paintings in process using the same technique. I’ll be posting them soon. #floridart #gel #artlovers
“Fork It” is an abstract acrylic on 20 x 20 canvas. I used Liquitex paint, heavy gel, and varnish. I had a blast creating this I laid a thick layer of red paint mixed with Liquitex heave gel and used a small kitchen fork to create the “trails” after it dried for a couple days it was ready to add different colors over the red to create contrast and visual complexity. I sold this one for $450 at an art show and still miss it.
“Orange Crush” is an abstract painting on canvas that I did it 2015. I used Liquitex acrylic paint and gloss varnish.
I did this abstract acrylic in approximately 2014 and likes it so much that I did several more suns, some also using paint and some not. Some have been sold and, sadly, I don’t have photos of them but soon will post more from this series. I used Liquitex acrylic paint and heavy gel to complete this piece.
